Minolta 1200W Laser Printer
For around $200 you get great value with the Minolta-QMS PagePro 1200W. True 1200 by 1200 dpi monochrome printing and low running costs make this laser printer a perfect choice for offices with low to moderate print volumes.
Oki B4300 Laser Printer
For under $400 you get solid moderate volume performance with the Oki B4300 laser printer. Very cheap running costs and fast printing make this an attractive choice but less than perfect print quality lets the side down.
Lexmark E321 Laser Printer
The Lexmark E321 laser printer offers reasonable value to smaller volume users and offers a nice upgrade path. However this nice package is let down an little by mediocre image quality and average running costs.
Epson EPL-6100 laser printer
The Epson EPL-6100 is an easy to use and maintain laser printer. With a generous 250 sheet standard input tray, Mac support and both USB, parallel connectors the Epson is only let down by average running costs and reasonably high initial purchase cost.
Canon LBP-1120 laser printer
The Canon Laser Shot LBP-1120 is small and cheap. It is not a particularly fast laser printer but print quality is acceptable and with a low initial cost and moderate running costs this makes an ideal laser printer for home or small office use.
Canon LBP-1210 Laser Printer
The Canon Laser Shot LBP-1210 is for moderate volume and looks and behaves a lot like the HP Laserjet 1300. In the end I would have to rate the HP Laserjet 1300 higher so go and read that review instead.
Samsung ML-1510 Laser printer
The Samsung ML-1510 is one of the new breed of mono laser printers offering sub $250 purchase price and solid print quality. If you're looking for a cheap entry level mono laser you could do lot worse than the Samsung ML-1510.
Samsung ML-2152W Laser Printer
The Samsung ML-2152W is a feature-rich high volume laser printer for small offices. However HP and Xerox arguably offer better paper handling and support. What is good is that the Samsung ML-2152W comes with everything included in its basic price, from duplexer to wireless networking port.
HP LaserJet 1000 Laser Printer
The HP Laserjet 1000 is the smallest in the HP Laserjet range and does benefit from some of the technical advantages of the bigger HP Laserjets while still being a cheap laser printer. The HP Laserjet is an attempt by HP to tackle the most budget concious of laser printer users. HP LaserJet 1200 Laser Printer
We love the HP Laserjet 1200. My own Laserjet 1200 stills prints quality laser printed pages at a reasonable cost despite years of staples, coffee and even being pulled off my desk when I got my foot caught in the cabling. There is something you should consider before buying one now, however.
